Isaiah nasce il 3 agosto 1963  a Houston. Ssi diploma alla Willowridge High School e continua gli studi alla Howard University. Oltre al mestiere di attore lavorò prima all'Air Force One sperando addiritura di diventare Generale dell'Esercito Americano. In seguito ad un test del Dna ha scoperto che sua madre è della Sierra Leone e suo padre dell'Angola.
